Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Environmental Test Engineer in the Greater San Jose Area. This individual will support the planning, setup, execution, and monitoring of environmental tests, including thermal vacuum (TVAC), thermal cycling, vibration, and related qualification and acceptance testing. Additional duties include: assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of environmental test lab infrastructure, including control room systems, remote monitoring capabilities, camera networks, data acquisition systems, and laboratory communications equipment.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Physics
2+ years of experience in aerospace, manufacturing, testing and/or laboratory operations
Experience with laboratory equipment, vacuum systems, environmental testing, electronics, or hardware integration
Familiarity with engineering fundamentals, instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and troubleshooting methodologies
Basic understanding of Linux operating systems, networking concepts, and remote access tools such as SSH

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience with evaluation and testing of propulsion, thermal, electrical or structural systems
Experience using oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, and soldering equipment
Ability to fabricate and repair cable harnesses including soldering, crimping, assembling connectors
Knowledge/experience with cryogenic systems
Knowledge of various fittings (NPT, MS, AN, Swagelok, medium pressure)
