Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Utilities Operations Coordinator to support a fast-growing proptech client modernizing utility management for residential real estate operators. This is a detail-oriented, high-volume operations role focused on utility activations, deactivations, documentation, and provider coordination across large portfolios of residential properties.
This opportunity is ideal for candidates who are organized, reliable, comfortable making outbound calls, and experienced in process-driven operational work. Relevant backgrounds include administrative operations, customer support, property management administration, insurance verification, billing follow-up, logistics coordination, or account setup.

Key Responsibilities

Submit utility start-service and stop-service requests with electric, gas, water, sewer, trash, and related providers
Communicate with utility providers via phone and email to confirm requirements, deposits, timelines, and account status
Complete utility applications and forms using provided authorization and property documentation
Track and update request status within internal systems and task-management tools
Document provider-specific instructions, requirements, blockers, and follow-up actions
Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) for routine workflows
Escalate exceptions, unusual requirements, or urgent service issues as needed
Confirm successful service start and stop dates
Maintain clean, accurate records for each property and provider interaction
Support high-volume onboarding projects as well as ongoing operational requests

Required Skills & Experience

Background in property management, real estate operations, utilities, billing, or vendor coordination
Experience with high-volume administrative or operations workflows
Familiarity with task-management tools such as Linear or similar platforms
Prior utility coordination experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience supporting remote or startup environments
