Senior Manager, Finance Systems

Overview:
Lead the strategy and execution of Finance technology systems to drive automation, accuracy, and insight. This role focuses on building scalable solutions, optimizing integrations, and leveraging AI to modernize Finance operations. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Technology, this role has a lot of oversight and direct contact with the CFO, influencing Legal, Data, and Systems orgs, as well as management of 2 direct reports.

Responsibilities
-Develop and execute a Finance Systems roadmap aligned with business priorities.
-Own and design, implement, and optimize core Finance applications (ERP, billing, procurement, planning/reporting).
-Manage Workday Financials and other Finance platforms, ensuring reliability and compliance.
-Drive automation and process improvements using AI and workflow tools.
-Oversee system integrations and data flow optimization for accurate financial reporting.
-Partner with Finance leadership to identify gaps and enable operational excellence.
-Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal controls.
-Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies.
-Build and lead a high-performing Finance Systems team.

• 10+ years in Finance Systems or ERP roles. Recent leadership or technical people management experience is a must.
• Expertise in Workday Financials (GL, AP, AR, Procurement, Billing, Reporting); 4+ years of hands-on experience (NOT Adaptive Financials).
• Ideally coming from a startup or hypergrowth technology company with direct access to C-suite.
• Strong knowledge of financial processes (P2P, O2C, FP&A, R2R).
• Experience with SaaS platforms and system integrations (ie. Navan, Stripe, Salesforce, FloQast, Avalara, Auditoria, High Radius, Xactly, CaptivateIQ etc.)
• Proven success in automation, AI-driven solutions, and analytics.
• Understanding of SOX compliance and data governance (HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR, etc.)
• Excellent project management and stakeholder communication skills.

-Familiarity with iPaaS tools (Workato, Boomi).
-Experience with RPA platforms (UiPath, Automation Anywhere).
-Ability to work onsite in SF on a hybrid schedule, or remotely within PST or MST time zones.
