Job Description

Insight Global is hiring for a Senior IT Engineer for one of our clients in the streaming services industry. We are seeking a highly ownership-oriented Senior IT Engineer to lead and elevate the IT experience for a growing, fast-paced organization of 150+ employees. This individual will serve as the primary IT leader, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations while proactively improving systems, infrastructure, and employee experience.
This role is ideally based in San Francisco with a strong on-site presence during onboarding and ramp-up. While remote flexibility may be considered longer term, proximity to the office is preferred to support hands-on needs and mentor junior staff.

Day to Day
- Own and deliver a best-in-class IT experience for all employees across HQ, remote workforce, and satellite offices
- Lead core IT operations, including:
○ Employee onboarding/offboarding and account provisioning
○ Hardware procurement, inventory, and lifecycle management
○ Endpoint support (Mac-heavy environment) and helpdesk operations
○ Office infrastructure (networking, WiFi, AV/Zoom rooms, device labs)
- Act as the primary escalation point for complex IT issues and system outages
- Lead implementation and optimization of key systems, including:
○ Identity & Access Management (SSO)
○ Mobile Device Management (MDM)
○ Endpoint security and backup solutions
○ Collaboration and conferencing tools (Zoom, Slack, etc.)
- Proactively identify gaps in IT infrastructure or employee experience and drive improvements
- Manage IT vendors, contracts, and relationships across hardware, SaaS, and networking providers
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders and leadership to align IT strategy with business needs
- Coordinate support with external IT service providers and manage ongoing priorities

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of experience delivering end-to-end IT support across hardware, software, and infrastructure
- Strong experience in a Mac-first environment
- Hands-on expertise with: SSO, MDM, endpoint security, and backup solutions
○ Networking fundamentals (WiFi, VPN, routing, firewalls)
○ AV/Zoom Room administration
- Proven ability to manage IT vendors and external service providers
- Experience owning and delivering IT projects from start to finish
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to handle high-impact incidents
