Day-to-Day:
Insight Global's client, a federal contracting agency, is seeking an experienced Director of Business Development with demonstrated success in the federal government sector to join our team. Reporting directly to the President, the director will play a crucial role in driving our company's growth and success. The position requires a high degree of responsibility; outstanding communication skills; ability to multi-task, prioritize, and organize against goals and objectives; and discernment to manage our pipeline in line with company strategy. This position will be remote with some travel to attend conferences and customer meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Securing wins for new work and maintaining existing business by:
* Proactively seeking out new business opportunities by networking and meeting with potential customers and teaming partners to understand their needs and market our capabilities.
* Conducting thorough research and analysis to identify potential opportunities and develop a robust qualified pipeline, considering our capabilities, potential partnerships, and the competitive landscape.
* Developing and leading winning capture management strategies.
* With support of our other team members, crafting compelling proposals, white papers, and other necessary documentation to support business development efforts.
* Managing and mentoring our proposal coordinator.
* Providing executive-level reporting on contract reviews, bid progress, and pipeline status.
