Job Description
Day to day:
• Monitor on-campus activity via patrol car or foot
• Report violations of University rules, regulations and applicable criminal laws while performing duties
• Escort various members of the university community who are on temporary disability through campus
• Respond to any threats of emergency or violence
• Work in tandem with the San Francisco Police Department when applicable
• Assist in the process of Medical Transport if applicable
• Create positive, collaborative, and professional relationships with the university community in order to create a safe atmosphere
Insight Global is looking for a Public Safety Officer for one of our clients in the higher education space. As a member of the Department of Public Safety you'll be responsible for creating an positive and secure atmosphere amongst the community members on campus through a variety of activities from monitoring on-campus activity to incident reporting to threat response. This is a full time position located in the Inner Richmond neighborhood of San Francisco onsite 3 to 4 times a week. We are looking for someone with a collaborative attitude that has a passion for being a guardian within the community.

• California POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training) certificate - does not have to be current!
• Consumer Affairs Guard Registration Card
• Department of Justice Straight Baton Certification Card
• BSIS Security Guard Chemical Agents Card
• High School Diploma or GED
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses:
• Red Cross Basic First Aid and CPR certification
• Prior experience in a security related role
Prior work in a higher education setting
