Job Description

MG+M The Law Firm (MG+M) has an immediate opening for a Paralegal to join their General Liability practice group.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee and coordinate a high-volume General Liability docket for a Senior Managing Partner.
Serve as primary liaison between attorneys, legal administrative assistants, and other paralegals to ensure efficient case management.
Manage multiple complex litigation matters simultaneously.
Monitor case filings and provide detailed assessments to attorneys.
Draft and prepare initial drafts of various pre-trial motions, dispositive motions, and other pleadings.
Review and evaluate discovery documents including medical records, sales documents, employment records, and other case materials.
Compose case assessments and evaluations for review by associates and partners.
Record and submit contemporaneous billable time in accordance with firm policies.
Perform intensive administrative work and procedural tasks related to case management.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5+ years of General Liability Defense litigation experience.
Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate - must be an ADA accredited law school.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel), Westlaw, PACER, and File & Serve Xpress.
Experience handling litigation.
Demonstrated ability to manage a large caseload with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Attendance & Punctuality: Consistently arrive at work and meetings on time; ensure responsibilities are covered when absent.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with attorneys, other paralegals, and legal administrative assistants.
Organization: Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Customer service: Respond promptly to attorney and client requests for service and assistance; meet commitments.
Dependability: Follow instructions, complete tasks on time, work independently, and commit to the hours necessary to meet deadlines.
Teamwork: Contribute to building a positive team spirit and support the success of colleagues.
