We are looking for experienced contract data/software engineer contractors to support the Multi-Cloud Efficiency (MCE) team in scaling cost attribution infrastructure and improving financial visibility across our cloud platforms. This role focuses on high-importance engineering tasks that serve internal partners like TPMs, Finance, and Infra. Open to remote with the ability to work with PST time zone.
What Youll Work On
Assembling large, complex sets of data and help make critical datasets and pipelines scalable, reliable, efficient, automating manual processes.
Debugging and resolving cost attribution across compute, storage, and services, Implementing and modifying cost re-attribution logic to improve accuracy and flexibility
Writing robust logic and data validation for regression detection in cost and efficiency datasets, land immediate impact
Contributing to internal tooling and automation to reduce operational toil
Build cost and efficinecy visualizations usable by wide audiance, landing immediate impact on a critical cost visibility platform used by engineering, finance, and leadership
Be motivated to drive end outcome, and ready to jump in where there is crirtical business need
Work with a highly technical and supportive team on well-scoped problems
Flexible work setup with potential for repeat engagements or full-time conversion

Proficiency in SQL, Python, data pipelines, data vizualization, and distributed systems
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills, especially in ambiguous or operational settings
Ability to build and optimize data sets, data pipelines and architectures
Ability to debug and perform root cause analysis on data to identify opportunities for improvement and answer questions
Working with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to support their data infrastructure needs while assisting with data-related technical issues
Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), Scala, and cost analytics a strong plus
Experience with Databrick product is a strong plus
