Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Cloud Engineer to join a team responsible for building the foundational services and frameworks that power large-scale cloud applications used by millions of users worldwide. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, cloud infrastructure, and platform engineering, focused on creating highly scalable microservices, optimizing data platforms, and improving the reliability, performance, and automation of mission-critical systems. You'll help shape the next generation of cloud-native services while enabling engineering teams to move faster and more efficiently.
What You'll Do:
-Design and develop scalable microservices and distributed systems that support high-volume, global applications.
- Build reusable platform frameworks and automation tools that simplify software delivery and operations.
-Partner with product managers and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions and architectural designs.
-Drive the design, development, testing, and release of cloud-native platform capabilities across geographically distributed teams.
-Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to manage cloud environments at scale.
-Improve system reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency through cloud architecture best practices.
-Build and support modern data platform solutions, including services leveraging technologies such as Redis and PostgreSQL.

Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years of software engineering experience building production-grade applications in Java, C#, C++, or similar object-oriented languages.
-Strong experience designing APIs, distributed systems, and cloud-native architectures.
-Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications in public cloud environments.
- Proven expertise building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows.
-Experience managing infrastructure through Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools.
-Strong understanding of system performance, resiliency, observability, and operational best practices.
- Ability to participate in on-call support and troubleshoot production issues in complex distributed environments.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience building platform engineering solutions, internal developer platforms, or microservices frameworks.
-Deep knowledge of Redis, PostgreSQL, caching strategies, and database performance optimization.
-Experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure automation.
-Exposure to large-scale SaaS environments serving millions of users globally.
-Background in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or cloud operations.
- Experience driving cloud cost optimization, security initiatives, and infrastructure modernization efforts.
