Job Description

Principal ServiceNow Developer will lead our ServiceNow development initiatives. In this position you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions on the ServiceNow platform that meet the complex needs of our organization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, provide technical leadership, and ensure best practices are followed in the development, configuration, and integration of ServiceNow modules.

• Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment of ServiceNow applications and integrations.
• Design scalable, robust, and innovative ServiceNow solutions that align with business needs and technical requirements. Guide the architecture and implementation of core ITSM processes, custom applications, and integrations.
• Provide deep expertise in ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITBM, SecOps, HRSD, and others. Stay up to date with new features, functionalities, and best practices in ServiceNow.
• Mentor and lead a team of ServiceNow developers, offering guidance and support in code reviews, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Work closely with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvements and automation using the ServiceNow platform. Ensure that solutions are efficient, maintainable, and aligned with business goals.
• Develop and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems, ensuring data consistency and smooth operation across platforms.
• Ensure all ServiceNow solutions adhere to security standards and regulatory requirements. Implement access controls, encryption, and other security measures as needed.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all customizations, configurations, and workflows. Provide training and support to end-users and other developers as necessary.
• Monitor the performance and health of the ServiceNow platform, identifying and resolving any issues proactively to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with IT leadership, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• 4+ years of hands-on experience as a ServiceNow Developer
• Experience with ServiceNow implementations, integrations, enhancements, and customizations
o Experience with ServiceNow HRSD highly preferred
• Extensive knowledge of ServiceNow Modules including ITSM, HRSD and ITOM
• Previous ServiceNow administration experience
• ServiceNow and or Agile/ITIL Certifications highly preferred
o ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS)
o ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
o ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
o ServiceNow Certified Application Specialist (CAS)
o Cloud Certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
o Agile/ITIL Certifications
