Insight Global is seeking a Software Engineering Manager for one of their top clients in the medical technology space. We are searching for a senior level, hands on software engineer who exhibits an engineering-first mentality with deep empathy for the challenges of modern software development. In this role, you will lead the full lifecycle of product development from inception to delivery, driving the creation of scalable, cloud-native software systems and application components. You’ll bring thought leadership to all facets of the development environment, including architecture, process, tools, and technologies, and help set the company’s technical direction. You’ll actively participate in ResMed’s inner sourcing/open sourcing strategy and inspire the developer community to align with it. This role requires strong collaboration across teams to drive consensus, present ideas to technical and non-technical audiences, and articulate a compelling vision that motivates others. You’ll write clean, functional code across the stack, support robust automated testing practices, and deliver documentation alongside code using a widespread array of tools. Experience working in Agile scrum environments, deep knowledge of source control and release strategies, and a proven track record of reimagining legacy architectures for cloud migration, including decomposing monoliths and enhancing scalability, resilience, observability, and security are essential. Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of Full stack software development experience-Java stack
5+ years of experience in public cloud (AWS Preferred but not a requirement) building services using cloud native technologies including Kubernetes, Docker, Serverless
2+ years with hands on experience working on web front ends. React JS Angular, HTML CSS are highly preferred
2+ years with API design and specification with an API design first approach to development
2+ years of development and data manipulation in SQL (querying and performance tuning)
Deep understanding of source control, branching & release strategies, pull requests and automated quality gates using tools such as GitHub or Bitbucket
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Hands on Development with AI assisted tools is a major plus
