Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Secret Network Engineer local to San Diego, CA. This person will be fully onsite and responsible for maintaining the existing network infrastructure, implementing changes as needed, and configurating enhancements based on customer requirements. It is expected that this person be comfortable working with numerous technologies. The ideal candidate will have come from an aeronautics background and have a strong proficiency in routing protocols such as EIGRP, BGP, and OSPF. This person will be working hands on in a dynamic lab environment.

Required Skills & Experience

- Active Secret Clearance
- 6-8 years of relevant engineering experience working on DoD networks
- Experience with network configuration, architecture, management, and maintenance of Cisco and Palo Alto technologies
- Expertise in networking protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, and OSP
- Experience with layers 1 and 2 of the OSI Model
- Active certification such as Sec+, CASP, or CISSP
- Professional networking certification such as Network +, CCNA, or CCNP

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
- Experience working on aircraft/aeronautic networks
- Experience migrating from rhel 7 to rhel 9
