Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Secret Cleared Link 16 / Tactical Data Link (TDL) Software Engineer to support the development, integration, testing, and sustainment of advanced tactical communications capabilities for airborne and mission systems platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Link 16 waveform integreation, Tactical Datalink terminals/radios, Software Defined Radios (SDRs), and real-time embedded software development. This role will work closely with Systems, Hardware, and Integration/Test teams to develop and troubleshoot mission-critical datalink capabilities in a fast-paced Agile environment. This person will be local to San Diego, CA and willing to come onsite on a 9x80 schedule.

Required Skills & Experience
- BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical - Engineering, or related STEM degree with 5+ years of experience
- Strong C/C++ development experience
- Experience with real-time embedded software systems
- Experience integrating low-level firmware and software in embedded environments
- Experience testing, troubleshooting, and validating Link 16 waveform performance
- Hands-on experience with Tactical Datalink radios, terminals, and lab test equipment
- Knowledge of Link 16, Tactical Data Links (TDL), TACAN, and MIL-STD communications standards
- Experience with Software Defined Radios (SDRs)
- Familiarity with CORBA and Software Communications Architecture (SCA)
- Experience with Agile development tools (Git, Bitbucket, Jira)
- Active Secret Clearance
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience supporting other tactical datalinks beyond Link 16
- Knowledge of MIL-STD-6016
- Experience with HAIPE, OTNK, IKE, or secure communications architectures
- Avionics software development experience
