Job Description

An enterprise medical device company is seeking a Scrum Master to join their team remotely. This role's primary goal is to facilitate the continuous delivery of business processes and technology solutions. In this role, the Scrum Master works within the organization portfolio and project teams to maintain a consistent delivery cadence. The Scrum Master collaborates closely with leaders, stakeholders, and project team members to prioritize work, manage dependencies, remove obstacles, and contribute to continuous improvement through metrics and feedback.



Responsibilities:

1. Facilitation & Execution: Support the execution of Sprints by facilitating key ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Demos, and Retrospectives to ensure smooth sprint progression.

2. Risk & Dependency Management: Assist in identifying and managing project dependencies and risks within the team, ensuring projects move forward efficiently.

3. Team Support & Performance: Help drive improvements in team performance and efficiency, focusing on delivering value and enhancing the agile delivery process.

4. Agile Practice Improvement: Contribute to improving agile practices by participating in continuous learning opportunities, coaching team members, and suggesting process enhancements.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other teams on projects that require coordination across multiple capabilities and features.

6. Mentorship & Guidance: Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, helping them grow in their agile roles.

7. Scope Understanding: Work with the team to understand and break down project scope, including the definition of user stories and tasks.

8. Agile Trends Awareness: Stay informed about the latest trends in agile practices and share insights with the team to help improve the organization's agile processes.

Required Skills & Experience

· Bachelor's degree required. B.S. in Computer Science, engineering or other technical field (or equivalent work experience).

· 5+ years experience managing software development projects (3+ years in agile environments: scrum, kanban, hybrid)

· 5+ years cross-functional program/project management experience with significant focus on dependency management, risk management & resource/vendor management

· Experience with Agile Project Management Applications (i.e. Jira, Rally, VersionOne)

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
