Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical Writer to support documentation efforts for advanced AI and machine learning platforms. This is a part-time, contract role ideal for an experienced technical writer who has spent a significant portion of their career working with modern documentation tools, AI-driven products, and complex technical systems.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of technical writing experience, stays current with the latest documentation technologies and workflows, and is comfortable translating highly technical concepts into clear, accurate, and user-focused content. Experience within the financial services industry is strongly preferred.

Required Skills & Experience
-10+ years of professional technical writing experience, with recent, hands-on work using current documentation technologies
-Proven experience documenting AI and/or machine learning systems, including data-driven or model-based applications
-Strong technical fluency and ability to collaborate effectively with engineering and data science teams
-Experience with modern documentation methodologies
-Docs-as-code,Markdown, reStructuredText, or similar formats
-Git-based version control
Static site generators or modern documentation platforms
-Exceptional written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
-Ability to work independently in a contract, part-time capacity and manage deliverables with minimal oversight
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Background in the financial services industry (banking, fintech, payments, trading, risk, compliance, or related domains)
-Experience documenting systems in regulated or compliance-heavy environments
-Familiarity with AI governance, model risk management, or explainability concepts
-Experience supporting enterprise-scale or customer-facing technical documentation
