Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Network Engineer with a wireless background. This individual will be looking at wireless tickets and requests through their ticketing system cue. This person is customer facing and will be calling customers and assisting them with wireless network issues and helping troubleshoot. They will also be working on several projects including looking at several wireless areas of the hospital that may have low signal and need to be reassessed. Also, they will continue to monitor wireless enterprise and make recommendations for changes following the change management process to provide the best wireless experience.

Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of experience in Network Engineering
Wireless experience including Wi-Fi Standards: IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax (Wi-Fi 6/6E), and emerging Wi-Fi 7,Cellular: LTE, 5G NR, Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRaWAN: For IoT and short-range wireless, MIMO & Beamforming: Advanced antenna technologies for modern Wi-Fi.
Experience with ROTOCOL Suite like MAC layer, management frames, roaming protocols
Experience with DHCP, DNS, ARP
Experience with QoS and Voice over Wi-Fi
Experience working in an enterprise background
Controller platforms - need experience with at least one (Cisco WLC, Aruba Mobility Controllers, Meraki Dashboard, Juniper Mist)
Experience of monitoring & management: SolarWinds (preferred), NetSpot, PRTG.
Knowledge of Spectrum Analysis
Great customer support and communication
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Distributed Antenna System
Proficiency with Palo Alto technologies, including Panorama Administration, Firewall Administration
Juniper Mist experience with AI tools
Wireless Survey Tools - Ekahau, iBwave, AirMagnet
Familiarity and experience with Cisco routers (IOS 12.x) including RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, NAT/PAT
