An employer is looking for a motivated and high performing individual to work with the Cell Therapy group within Therapeutics Discovery (TD) to support the development of autologous and allogeneic cell therapy products through handling plasmid construct generation requests. In this role you will intake generation requests and work to oversee and execute the entire cloning, prep, and QC process until ultimate hand-off of completed plasmids to functional teams. The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology and exceptional organizational skills. Success in this position will require both the ability to independently execute responsibilities and collaborate within a cross-functional department. Job Responsibilities:
Work with cell therapy scientists to intake construct generation requests and design efficient cloning strategies that meet the needs of the program
Coordinate and oversee plasmid cloning and prep at external CROs
Perform laboratory work, including cloning, plasmid mini/midi/maxi prep, QC analytical methods such as quantification, PCR, sequencing, restriction digests, gel electrophoresis
Register and inventory plasmids in virtual and physical databases
Coordinate hand-off of plasmids to internal functional teams
Analyze data, prepare reports, and effectively communicate results
Identify and troubleshoot technical challenges
Maintain laboratory records and ensure compliance with laboratory protocols and safety procedures
