Job Description

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is looking for an experienced LabVIEW and TestStand Software Developer to support the Circuit Design organization in San Diego, CA.
The selected candidate will develop LabVIEW and TestStand code to automate functional test systems in close coordination with the hardware design staff. One will work closely with test engineers to develop, debug, and verify test software on schedule and that meets all requirements. In addition, one will have the opportunity and responsibility to support qualification testing, preparing of test procedures and reports, and supporting hardware production manufacturing.

Required Skills & Experience

• Develop LabVIEW and TestStand software applications for custom test stations to meet customer requirements
• Create software architectures and frameworks
• Architect and Develop Hardware Abstraction Layer
• Automate test sequences
• Control test instruments
• Communicate with the device under test (DUT)
• Generate reports for test results data
• Work with hardware test engineers to automate custom test stations
• Debug, troubleshoot and verify test stations
• Write technical documentation including specs, verification procedures and operating procedures

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• 3+ years LabVIEW and TestStand work preferably on production test applications
• NI LabVIEW and/or TestStand certification a big plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Python experience is a plus Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on mixed circuit design.
• Experience using FPGA, CPLD and micro-controllers.
• Experience with development and design of automated test equipment.
• Self-motivated and self-managing
• Eager to learn new technologies and processes
• BSCS, BSEE or similar technical degree
