Job Description

The Lab Chemical Inventory Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the inventory of lab chemicals to ensure accurate stock levels and proper storage locations. This position involves developing and implementing a tracking system for efficient inventory management. The specialist is responsible for confirming the accuracy of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in the database and ensuring that all chemical information is up-to-date and accessible. Additionally, they assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory processes and lab safety. Updating entry signage in the labs is also part of their duties to ensure clear communication and compliance with safety standards. Attention to detail is essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring the safe handling and storage of chemicals.

Conduct inventory of lab chemicals to ensure accurate stock levels and locations.
· Develop and implement a tracking system for efficient inventory management.
· Confirm SDS (Safety Data Sheet) in database.
· Assist in continuous improvement initiatives.

Pay Rate - $25 - $40 p/hr

Required Skills & Experience

Must-haves:
- High school diploma / GED
- Experience working in a laboratory
- Has previously handled chemicals (flammables, acids, bases etc)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
- Clean room exposure
- Familiar with OSHA regulations
- Experience managing hazardous waste
- Familiar with Intelex
