Job Description

Day to Day:
The Technical Process Consultant plays a key role within the IT Governance team, focusing on
understanding and documenting current and future state processes, identifying ways to make them more
efficient, and helping teams follow industry best practices and regulatory requirements. The analyst will
work with frameworks like SOX, NIST, and IT General Controls (ITGCs) to ensure processes support
compliance needs. Theyll use data, team input, and various tools to analyze and document workflows,
recommend changes, and support projects across multiple departments.

Responsibilities:
Work with teams to understand how technical processes work today, document them, and work to
see how they can be improved.
Use tools like Visio and Confluence to create clear diagrams and documentation of workflows.
Help make processes more efficient by identifying opportunities for automation or simplification or
by identifying more effective tools.
Help teams to document procedures and capture details expanding on process diagrams
Review how current practices align with standards, like SOX, NIST, and ITGC, and suggest
updates as needed.
Collect and analyze data to measure how well a process is working, and share the results in a
clear and useful way.
Track key metrics and help teams understand whats working and whats not.
Provide backup support for technical writing projects when needed.
Work closely with people across departments to support changes and improvements.
Stay in touch with internal and external partners to support projects and solve problems.

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
5+ years of experience in a business process analyst role
3+ years acting in a process improvement or project management capacity
Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience OR 8+ years of working experience without a degree
Skilled in Visio, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, Microsoft, SharePoint, Excel features like VLOOKUP, PivotTables, and formula
3 + years of experience in the Mortgage, Finance, or IT related roles
Experience leading and supporting process improvement projects with an understanding of project planning and coordination.
Able to organize and guide change efforts that improve how work gets done.
