Job Description

The Human Resources Assistant will support US-based Leave of Absence administration, serving as a key operational partner responsible for managing FMLA, state-mandated, and company-sponsored leave programs. This role acts as the first-line support for employee leave inquiries, providing clear guidance on documentation requirements, timelines, and next steps while ensuring a seamless experience for employees, managers, HR Business Partners, and Payroll teams. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of US leave regulations, maintains meticulous and audit-ready case documentation, and leverages HR systems and Microsoft tools to track eligibility, compliance deadlines, and return-to-work timelines. In addition to day-to-day case management, this role contributes to process improvements, SOP updates, and operational reporting to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service quality within the leave administration function.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, Leave Administration, or a related HR operations role
• Hands-on experience administering US Leave of Absence programs, including FMLA, state-specific protected leaves, and company-sponsored leave policies
• Strong knowledge of US federal and state leave regulations with proven attention to compliance and documentation accuracy
• Experience serving as a first point of contact for employee and manager HR/leave-related inquiries
• Proficiency using HRIS, ATS, and/or outsourced Leave Management Systems
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting SLA timelines
• High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential employee information
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including working with US-based stakeholders
• Willingness to work a hybrid schedule and night shift aligned to US hours
