Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carrier Hull Mechanical and Electrical Technician with a strong emphasis on electrical systems to join our team. The role involves working on Advanced Weapon Elevators aboard U.S. Navy aircraft carriers currently in service and under construction.
Key Responsibilities
-Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting on carrier systems.
-Work extensively on:
PLC systems (Rockwell) – advanced knowledge preferred.
Electric motors, limit switches, and proximity switches.
Multipin connectors and vertical package conveyors.
Hangar doors and cableway installations.
-Diagnose and resolve electrical issues, including troubleshooting complex systems.
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of tasks on carriers CVN-70, CVN-71, CVN-72, and eventually CVN-79

Required Skills & Experience
-OSHA 10 Maritime Certification – mandatory.
-Strong electrical background; mechanical experience is a plus.
-Familiarity with:
PLC (Rockwell)
-Electric motors and control systems
-Multipin connectors (certification is a plus)
-Cableway installation (preferred)
-Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics.
Comfortable working in shipyard environments.
