Job Description

A medical device company is looking for an electrical engineer to provide electrical hardware and firmware engineering support for New Product Development (NPD) projects. This role involves designing, implementing, and troubleshooting electronic, firmware, and embedded systems using appropriate tools and equipment under moderate engineering guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Project Participation: Contribute actively to product development from concept through implementation, both as a team member and an independent contributor.
Requirements Analysis: Translate system-level requirements into subsystem specifications and develop corresponding electrical and firmware designs.
PCB Expertise: Interpret schematics and related files for PCB layout; oversee PCB design through release of fabrication packages.
Technical Support: Apply theoretical knowledge and hands-on skills to diagnose issues and complete assigned tasks.
Testing & Documentation: Develop and execute test plans for electrical, firmware, and embedded hardware designs.
NPI Process: Understand and support New Product Introduction and phase-gate review planning.
Engineering Documentation: Create and update materials, BOMs, plans, and reports; process change orders; conduct design reviews.
Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to advance project objectives.
Time Management: Handle multiple assignments of varying scope and complexity efficiently.
Technical Expertise: Demonstrate strong proficiency in embedded systems implementation.
Supplier Interaction: Interface with external design partners and suppliers to ensure project success.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelors Degree in Engineering
-2+ years of electrical engineering experience
-Understanding of PCBA development and manufacturing (IPC 610, IPC 2221, IPC 2222, IPC 2223)
-Experience writing low level codes
-Proficiency with PC based applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Visio, Jira, Confluence

-60601/61010 experience
