Job Description
We are seeking a Data Integration Platform Engineer to support a critical enterprise integration platform. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, infrastructure, and platform operations, with a focus on Apache NiFi (Cloudera CFM/CDP) and Kafka. This is a high-impact, developer-facing role responsible for platform stability, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting cross-functional teams across upgrades, migrations, and ongoing operations.
Responsibilities
• Own and administer Apache NiFi (Cloudera CFM/CDP) and Kafka platforms
• Build and maintain basic NiFi flows for validation, POC testing, and integrations
• Provide production support, handling ServiceNow tickets, production issues, and SLA-driven requests
• Monitor platform health, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure reliability
• Support platform upgrades and migrations, including major NiFi/Cloudera version changes
• Integrate platform components with AWS (S3, IAM, EKS, Secrets Manager)
• Write Python and shell scripts for automation, monitoring, and operations
• Manage security configurations (TLS/SSL, IAM, LDAP/AD access)
• Collaborate with developers to onboard users, configure connectors, and resolve issues
• Contribute to platform governance and maintain runbooks/documentation

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years in data infrastructure, integration platforms, or platform operations
• Hands-on experience with NiFi or similar tools (Kafka, Informatica, MuleSoft)
• Experience with Cloudera environments (CFM/CDP) or comparable platforms
• Experience supporting production data pipelines and integrations
• Python scripting
• Experience with AWS (S3, IAM, EKS)
• Linux administration
• Familiarity with TLS/SSL, certificates, and access management (LDAP/AD)
