Job Description

An employer in the San Diego area is looking for a Civil Engineering Project Manager - planning. The client supports residential land development. The PM needs to know CAD and know how to design. They will write contracts manage budget, manage clients, tend to meetings, and help to bring in/close business. This position entails Project Management for preparation of Tentative Maps and Site Plans, exhibits and Concept Land Plans from a desk using AutoCAD. The Planning Department is somewhat of a hybrid between Planning and Civil Engineering and our plans are on the technical side.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5 years of Civil CAD Design experience
- Civil plan preparation in CAD, either planning or engineering.
- Experience in preparation of Tentative Maps and Site Plans, exhibits and Concept Land Plans
- Understand grading, site plan, utility design, different processes that projects go through for entitlements
- Experience with designing Site Plans

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Degree in Urban Planning, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Can come from Landscape Architecture background doing site plans build on top of base maps
- Land development experience - supporting residential or commercial land development projects
- Experience in AutoCAD doing Grading, Utility Plans, Hydraulics, hydrology
