Job Description

-Processes and tracks requisitions, purchase orders, and related documentation using established procurement systems and procedures.
-Supports buyers and procurement professionals by helping improve response times, workflow efficiency, quality, cost control, and delivery performance.
-Performs routine pricing, cost, and supplier analyses to support sourcing decisions and customer or proposal requests.
-Maintains accurate purchasing records, monitors order status and shipments, and ensures required approvals and documentation are completed.
-Communicates with internal customers to clarify requirements, provide updates, and resolve routine procurement or pricing questions.
-Coordinates with vendors to ensure materials or services are delivered on time and meet quality and contract requirements.
-Tracks vendor performance, escalates issues as needed, and provides feedback to support supplier management and continuous improvement.
-Assists with administrative and analytical tasks tied to purchasing strategy, cost management initiatives, and process improvement efforts.
-Uses procurement and cost management tools to monitor spending, ensure budget alignment, and support reporting needs.
-Follows procurement policies, compliance requirements, and approval workflows while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelors Degree
-2+ years of experience in supply chain as a buyer
-Continuous improvement or lean knowledge
-Must come from machining, aerospace, automotive, or oil and gas industry
-Proficient in Microsoft office
-Experience using an MRP system

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Investment casting experience
-Supply Chain Certification (ASCM, APICS, etc.).
-6-Sigma certification (Blackbelt or Greenbelt).
