Job Description

A leading insurance organization is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to join their Product Engineering team supporting cloud modernization and DevSecOps initiatives. This individual will be responsible for provisioning and configuring AWS resources, building automation, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and enabling application teams through secure, scalable cloud infrastructure solutions. This engineer will work closely with development teams to improve cloud delivery, automation, security, and operational efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

- 5+ years of hands-on AWS cloud engineering experience (ECS, Lambda, EC2, serverless/cloud-native services)
- Strong Infrastructure as Code experience utilizing AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or similar IaC tools
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, or AWS pipeline tools
- Strong automation/scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar tools
- DevSecOps experience including vulnerability management, IAM, security policies, and cloud security best practices
- Experience with containerization and AWS networking concepts (Docker, Kubernetes, VPCs, subnets, security groups)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience creating reusable cloud automation, scripts, templates, or self-service capabilities
- Strong observability experience with CloudWatch, logging, monitoring, or alerting tools
- Enterprise-level cloud transformation or platform engineering experience
- SAFe Agile experience working within scaled delivery teams
