This engineer will focus heavily on Terraform (with exposure to AWS CDK) to modernize existing frameworks, retrofit older components, and build scalable, reusable automation patterns. The role involves working closely with development teams to enhance CI/CD integrations, resolve version incompatibilities, and drive infrastructure standardization and optimization. The ideal candidate is highly technical, confident, and independent, with deep Terraform expertise, strong problem-solving ability, and a passion for automation and efficiency.

We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer that believes everyone matters. Qualified candidates will receive consideration for employment regardless of their race, color, ethnicity, religion, sex (including pregnancy), sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, national origin, ancestry, genetic factors, age, disability, protected veteran status, military or uniformed service member status, or any other status or characteristic protected by applicable laws, regulations, and ordinances. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to HR@insightglobal.com.To learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/.

• Proven experience supporting and automating across AWS and Azure environments
• Strong understanding of IaC best practices, networking fundamentals, and infrastructure scalability
• Hands-on experience retrofitting and upgrading Terraform modules (v0.x → v1.x) and resolving version or compatibility issues
• Familiarity with AWS CDK and ability to implement object-oriented automation patterns
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) and modern version control practices
• Confident, independent engineer with excellent communication skills and the ability to set boundaries and collaborate across teams

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience using Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools for code optimization
• Knowledge of Datadog or similar monitoring tools, especially leveraging APIs for automation
• Exposure to Golang or scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, etc.) for IaC integrations
• Prior work in regulated industries (healthcare, life sciences, medical devices)
• Strong personal ownership and drive to lead initiatives and deliver automation improvements

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
