Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a key role in supporting the organizations invoicing and accounts payable processes. The primary focus is on processing approximately 150-200 invoices daily, managing the Zendesk ticketing system for inquiries related to invoices, and assisting with check distribution. This role involves verifying that the automated bots are performing correctly within the ERP system and ensuring timely completion of tasks, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
Please note: This is a temporary role to support testing of automated invoicing processes. It is not expected to convert to permanent employment, but offers valuable experience, especially for individuals seeking accounting work.
Essential Functions:
Training & Onboarding: In the office for the first week to familiarize with the team. Flexibility to start earlier if it aligns with team needs.
Invoice Processing: Verify and process 150-200 invoices daily, ensuring timely payments within 24 hours.
Ticket Management: Handle Zendesk inquiries related to invoice status, with an average of 30-40 tickets per day (range 25-75). No prior Zendesk experience necessaryexperience with email correspondence is sufficient.
Check Distribution: Assist with daily check distribution, ensuring special handling tasks are completed on time and sent via FedEx as required.
AP System Verification: Monitor automated processes within the ERP system, verifying accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
Adhere to SLA: Complete all tasks within designated timeframes, with priority on special handling cases each day by 10 AM.
Additional Tasks: Assist with other accounts payable functions as needed, supporting the team during this testing period.

- Minimum of 3 years of Accounts Payable experience.
