Job Description
Insight Global is seeking an R&D Design Engineer to support the injection molding process for a large Life Sciences company located in San Clemente, CA. This role requires to be on-site 3-5 days per week in the San Clemente location. The R&D Product Design Engineer will be overseeing all Injection Molding Processes which includes troubleshooting to improve throughput, repairing and testing components, operating expenses, evaluating thermoplastic molds, best documentation practices, and recommending tooling changes. This person will be correcting and troubleshooting problems for the production team that are outside of the molding technicians scope. This person will be the main point of contact for the injection molding process and help with recommendations and troubleshooting for the entire lab.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or similar discipline
5-8+ years of engineering experience
4+ years of manufacturing / plastics engineering experience
Experience working with plastic or silicon injection molding
Expertise in hydraulics, pneumatic processing, machining, and tool engineering concerning injection molding processes
