Job Description
Insight Globals client, a wastewater company in the Sacramento area, is seeking to hire an IT Infrastructure Analyst DBA. This position will be assigned to work at 10060 Goethe Road. However, depending on the need, the work location will alternate between Goethe Road and Echo Water in Elk Grove and the Branch Datacenter where the SQL Cluster hardware resides. The IT Infrastructure Analyst DBA role is to train existing staff in the administration of SQL Servers and Database Administration, analyze, specify, and validate the infrastructure needs of applications and projects, manage, tune and monitor databases, SQL servers & SSRS. Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help the business make good technology decisions. Recommend and/or Apply industry best practices.
pay range: $60-75/hr

Required Skills & Experience
Ability to train/ knowledge transfer to jr level SQL admins
5+ years of experience as a SQL DBA
Database performance, development, and maintenance
Overseeing the design, development and implementation of software and hardware solutions
Strong experience with Windows Server Administration including WSFC, Powershell scripting, Patching and Monitoring
Proficient in SQL Failover Cluster and Always On
Database security, backup and recovery
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Relational and dimensional data modeling
RHEL experience
