Insight Global is looking to hire an IT Support Admin to join an IT Consulting company that partners with mid-large sized financial, retail, hedge fund, and aviation companies across the United States. Our client is seeking a well rounded IT infrastructure support consultant to assist 3-4 clients in the Downtown San Francisco Bay Area. Day to day includes fielding customer service/ad-hoc requests including user support, hardware/software installation/configuration, and network/system troubleshooting. This person is solely in a support position, but a deep understanding of the total infrastructure of an organization. Each client is within 15-minute drive in the bay area. Other duties include:
* Builds report and maintains strong relationships with clients by continuing with clear communication and prompt follow through.
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software solutions supporting critical business functions.
* Laptop/Desktop setup and deployments
* Recurring and ad-hoc onsite support in a timely and effective manner
* Maintain asset inventory (receipt, storage, tracking, and decommissioning) and network, systems, and organizational documentation.
* Network troubleshooting: Level 1-2
* Timely and accurate completion of onsite summaries and entry in ticketing system
* Vendor management: receipt, tracking, and ordering
* Experience in first and second level help desk/desktop support
* Triage user requests and requirements and recommend effective technological solutions.
* Escalation point for less senior technicians.
* Provide support for conferencing systems: Teams, Zoom. Setup video conferences and presentations
* Deskside support for Zoom soft phone, network printers, and workstation peripherals.
* Documentation on time and accurately; Daily reporting post on-site, SOPs, tickets, time entries, expanse entries, and weekly timesheets
* Communicate clearly, technical subjects to technical and non-technical audiences.
* Ensure customers are well informed in all scenarios - Pre-schedule and post-schedule of any service requests and/or project.
Required Skills & Experience
* 4+ years of experience in IT Support -- Hardware, Network, System, Infrastructure
* Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Hardware and Software for end users support
* Past experience in laptop/desktop deployments
* Deep understanding of Infrastructure network and systems in an organization -- Routers, Switches, Servers, Active Directory
* Strong personality, patience, and proven success working with clients -- Consulting type mindset
* Valid drivers license and ability to commute in the downtown San Francisco Bay area
