Essential Responsibilities:
Design, code, test, and deploy JDE applications and customizations using the JDE Edwards development toolset, including Orchestrator.
Integrate JD Edwards with other enterprise systems and third-party applications, ensuring data integrity and seamless operations.
Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain integration processes with third-party vendors, managing vendor relationships and ensuring deliverables meet quality standards.
Collaborate with Recology JDE Enterprise One functional analysts and other departments to understand business requirements and deliver integrated solutions that are scalable, adaptable, and sustainable.
Analyze and resolve technical and application problems in a timely manner.
Utilize AS400 (iSeries) to maintain and support the JDE application database.
Monitor and support all JDE modules, including month-end and year-end tasks.
Maintain and apply ESU to JD Edwards applications to ensure systems are up-to-date with the latest features and fixes.
Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and efficiency improvements within software development and business processes.
Create technical documentation, including design specifications and user manuals, and provide training and support to end-users and IT staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information:
Critical JDE Modules: HCM, Payroll, Finance (AP, AR, GL), Equipment Inventory.
Customizations: Interfaces to external vendors.
Development vs. Maintenance: 50:50 ratio.
Third-Party Integrations: JDE custom processes.
Customization Approach: Minimal pristine object customizations (up to 10%); third-party integrations are JDE custom processes.
Immediate Projects: New interface development via Orchestrator, technical support, ESU research analysis.
Soft Skills and Business Knowledge: Orchestrator, UDO, Business Services, base JDE module knowledge, basic knowledge of AS400 DB2.
Team Structure: Part of a 6-member JDE team within a 40-member IT team.
Planned Upgrades/Migrations: Standard maintenance upgrades, ESU upgrades, potential future Oracle Cloud migration.
