In partnership with other Activation Project Managers, operational leaders, subject matter experts, Training & Education teams, and department champions, this role ensures operational changes are identified, communicated, documented, and implemented in a coordinated and consistent manner. The Operational Change & Communications Project Manager serves as the central integration point for operational change planning, communication, training coordination, and organizational readiness activities, facilitating collaboration across departments to support a safe, efficient, and successful transition into the new facility.

Job Responsibilities:

Operational Change Planning
• Lead operational change management activities by identifying impacts to clinical and non-clinical operations, including workflows, staffing, technology, equipment, patient experience, and departmental processes.
• Conduct operational change impact assessments with project managers, operational leaders, and SMEs to identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.

• Facilitate collaboration among operational leaders, department representatives, project teams, and key stakeholders to support alignment and informed decision-making.
• Prepare and deliver status updates, implementation progress reports, readiness metrics, and recommendations to leadership and governance committees.
Training & Implementation Coordination
• Identify training needs related to workflow, process, technology, equipment, and facility changes, and partner with Training & Education teams to support implementation planning.
• Coordinate the development of educational materials, workflow documentation, and supporting resources needed for operational readiness.
• Ensure required documentation, communications, and training deliverables are completed and available to support successful implementation and transition activities.
• Support adoption of new operational processes by facilitating planning, issue identification, and resolution throughout activation.
Operational Readiness
• Partner with Activation Project Managers, operational leaders, and department representatives to assess readiness across planning, testing, simulations, Day-in-the-Life exercises, move planning, and Go-Live activities.
• Develop and maintain readiness assessment tools, dashboards, and performance metrics to monitor progress and identify gaps.
• Facilitate post-implementation evaluations, lessons learned sessions, and stabilization efforts to support continuous improvement and long-term operational success.
Program Integration
• Integrate operational change management activities with the broader Activation Program by coordinating schedules, risks, dependencies, action items, and implementation milestones across workstreams.
• Maintain operational change documentation, readiness reports, dashboards, and implementation metrics to support executive reporting and program governance.
• Identify, communicate, and help mitigate operational risks, implementation barriers, and schedule impacts, escalating significant issues to program leadership as needed.
