This is the first level in the civil engineering series requiring registration as a civil engineer. Under direction an Associate Civil Engineer performs difficult and complex engineering work and acts as supervisor to a small group of engineers and/or paraprofessional engineering staff. Associates may serve as project/resident engineers on a single major or several minor engineering project.
The Sustainability Engineering and Long-Term Planning group is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with strong project management and communications skills to support various efforts led by the group.
Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Lead projects related to Environmental Sustainability, such as the Organics Program, Energy Management, and Biosolids Recycling.
· Coordinate with various departments in gathering information to support technical engineering evaluations.
· Develop, manage, and assist with implementing the client's agreements with external agencies.
· Provide technical assistance in developing rates and fees for the client.
· Research and gather technical information to make detailed analyses to support the client's programs.
· Prepare comprehensive technical reports, memos, and presentations.
· Supervise, mentor, train, and develop staff.
· Direct and review the work products of staff.
Compensation: $57.27/hr to $69.63/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
