Job Description

An employer is looking for a Project Controls Analyst to work for a leader in the gas and electric industry. This individual is going to be part of the Construction Management organization and helping identify cost analysis and budget discrepancies on work in field. In this role you will be supporting construction management who is authorizing spend on projects, but don't understand how to complete accruals. We need this person to assist in validating invoices by taking companies data / work authorizations and marrying that feedback from vendors of what they completed. We need to receive feedback on what Construction Management has been paid and draw an underlying value.



Other Responsibilities will include:



Implement planning, review, control, startup execution and closeout processes and engage in process improvement activities.



Revise, monitor and exercise configuration control of contract and project documents.



Audit existing expenditure and ensure billed costs are aligned suitably.



Guarantee project contract implementation and support project path, plan and schedule.



Support briefing and product development with senior management.



Oversee measurement reports content and manage backup data and project summary.



Guarantee data overtime consistency and adapt report content to practices of accelerating project maturity.



Handle status reports and management reviews.



Track project configuration and associated documentation such as recovery, archive and master documentation repository duties.



Manage records of release documents and identify required release documents.



Engage in new business proposals to develop manpower and cost estimates.



Develop and execute reporting procedures to present project status and work valuation and track contract deliverables.



Develop and present program level project performance reviews.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3+ years of Project Controls / Accounting Experience
- Understand how to track invoices and do accruals
- Experience with invoice review and processing accruals
- Ability to work collaboratively with many team members
- Experience working collaboratively in a remote environment
- Experience with accruals (what money is still available based off what has already been spent)
- Experience with Excel (Pivot Tables, V Look Ups)
- Positive attitude and willingness to work hard - go-getter mentality; have a process improvement attitude

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Construction / Utility prior company experience
- Experience with SAP (completing budget and reporting within this tool)
- Ariba experience (project management tool)
- Experience utilizing any ERP tool (entering and managing data)
