Job Description

Insight Global's client, a leading global solar project developer, owner, and operator, is looking to hire an experienced Technical Accounting / SEC Reporting Manager to join their growing team in Pleasanton, California. This company operates in the fastest growing solar markets thank to its improved clarity of government policies. Their strategy is to pursue high-margin project development opportunities in the US and Europe, where they have an industry leading position.



Responsibilities:

* Process and manage the company's external reporting including10-K,10-Q, earnings reports, and other materials in a timely manner.

* Stay current on Accounting Standards Codifications (ASC) and SEC regulations and evaluate the impacts on company's financial reporting.

* Serve as US GAAP resource and technical accounting research. Prepare accounting analysis/memo on complex and/or non-standard transactions.

* Research, analyze, and document accounting and reporting implications and assist with related complex accounting journal entries, reconciliations, and disclosures.

* Provide oversight of company-wide revenue recognition, including reviews of agreement in accordance with ASC 606.

* Provide guidance on appropriate treatment for lease accounting ASC 842, including lease modifications and terminations.

* Communicate to external and internal auditors, including timely addressing audit requests and effectively managing communication amongst stakeholders.

* Drive process improvement by proactively identifying opportunities on an ongoing basis and effectively implementing process transformations.

Required Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

* Must have an active CPA license.

* 6+ years of experience, preferred SEC reporting experience, using Workiva.

* Accounting firm experience, preference would be Big 4, but open to someone from a consulting firm.

* Meticulous attention to detail, self-starter, ability to take ownership of external reporting, SEC reporting, and technical accounting issues.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Bilingual in Chinese.
