An employer sitting in Petaluma, CA is looking to hire an onsite Systems Engineer. This person is going to be working very hands on within the Engineering team, helping to integrate hardware onto aircrafts, installing subsystems, setting up lab tests, test equipment, and assisting in flight testing out in the field. He/She will be working on all aspects of SEIT (Systems Engineering, Integration and Test) to develop and deliver innovative uncrewed systems for defense and commercial applications. He/She will be working within the entire product lifecycle, including requirements definition, concept design, prototyping, detailed design, validation and verification testing. This person will be supporting the work of their Autonomous Systems organization for a product that is an uncrewed group 3 aircraft that does vertical takeoff and landing, used to provide advanced multi-sensor intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) services. This position will be working on a 9/80 schedule.

- 5-12+ years of experience in systems/test engineering related to uncrewed aircrafts, aerospace testing, or defense expertise
- Applied experience working hands on to physically integrate hardware onto aircrafts, install subsystems, setting up lab tests
- Experience developing system test plans, procedures, and reports and reviewed and interpreted specifications
- Lab and field test experience including writing systems safety protocols and ensuring personnel safety during field testing; ability to travel to field location(s)
- Previous uncrewed aircraft systems engineering expertise or (DOD) aerospace engineering experience
