Job Description

An employer sitting in Petaluma, CA is looking to hire an Industrial Engineer. This person will be working onsite full time on a 9/80 schedule. This person will be the primary Industrial Engineer at this site working in an organization alongside 11 others directly reporting to the Industrial Engineering and Lean Manufacturing Manager. He/she will need to have a strong foundation in lean manufacturing principles, familiarity with all related tools, 5s's, value stream mapping, Kaizen principles concepts etc. This employer is growing their production unit at a rapid pace and they need someone as the Industrial Engineer, who reports to the site leader in Petaluma, to be fully equipped to teaching, training, implementing, and sustaining these principles. He/she will need to be comfortable with gathering data such as cycle time data or tracking the implementation of a change on the floor etc. This role requires 80% of the time on the production floor and supporting production improvements. There might be some required travel to Simi Valley, CA for training purposes. This will be a full time opportunity paying between $108,000-$153,000 (depending on years of experience).

Required Skills & Experience

- 4-6 years of experience in Industrial Engineering and/or Continuous Improvement (leading Kaizen events)
- Highly experienced within the Production Floor, working with different business units and ensuring continuous improvement efforts and being led
- Experience with current state assessments, tracking sustainment, gathering cycle time data, implementing change
Strong Communication Skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience with 3D printing software, equipment, and materials. ++
- Experience with simulation software (e.g., SIMIO) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks)+
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance with industry standards such as ISO 9001+
