Our client in the food and beverage industry is is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior Security Operations Manager to lead our security operations function. This role will oversee our outsourced triage group, manage incident response processes, and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective resolution of security events. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, technical depth, and a passion for operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
Day to Day:
Oversee the outsourced triage group, ensuring effective monitoring and escalation of security events
Review and manage a web-based triage queue with 50100 items daily
Identify and escalate flagged items for further investigationtypically 1+ per day
Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as Legal and Jo for incident response
Lead incident investigations, including:
Pulling relevant logs and audit trails
Identifying root causes and impact
Coordinating resolution efforts
Conduct post-incident reviews to document findings and drive improvements
Develop and maintain a schedule for security practice exercises, including:
Simulated security events
Incident response drills
Operational readiness assessments

35 years of experience in incident management and security operations
Proven experience overseeing or managing outsourced triage teams
Strong understanding of incident response lifecycle, including escalation and resolution
Hands-on experience with log analysis, audit trails, and web-based triage queues
Excellent communication and coordination skills across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Certifications:
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or equivalent
Experience working in hybrid environments (cloud and on-prem)
Familiarity with SIEM tools, SOAR platforms, and threat intelligence feeds
Background in compliance-driven environments (e.g., PCI, SOX, HIPAA)
