Job Description

An employer is looking for a CAD/BIM Designer to support their Bellevue, WA team. The role involves developing 3D models and CAD drawings for hydraulic structures such as locks, dams, levees, and bridges. You'll work closely with project managers and engineers to ensure timely project delivery, which may require occasional overtime. Key responsibilities include assisting with preliminary and final designs, analyzing sketches, making annotations to designs made by engineers, implementing project-specific CAD standards, and maintaining project libraries. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of CAD experience, is proficient in Revit BIM software, and has a willingness to learn new softwares like Bentley Open Buildings which will be required.

Required Skills & Experience

Associate degree in related field (experience can be substituted for degree).
Entry level (2-5 years) of experience and working knowledge of structural/ civil/ electrical/ mechanical engineering principles, practices, and methods.
2+ years of strong design experience and competence with BIM software (i.e. Revit, with a willingness to learn OpenBuildings).
Proven knowledge of plan set development and ability to conform to various jurisdictional standards is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, committed to project schedules and deadlines, able to work within a team environment and independently, and self-motivated.
Solid work ethic with attention to detail, a care for the handling of projects, and a desire to improve and grow their knowledge

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- experience with Bentley products (MicroStation) is required. Bentley OpenBuildings Designer support is the primary tool used.

Experience using U.S. Army Corps of Engineers CAD Standards is a plus.
