Job Description
We are hiring an Infrastructure‑focused DevOps Engineer to lead the initial build‑out and ongoing operation of an on‑premises lab environment. This role is highly hands‑on and infrastructure‑driven, spanning bare‑metal servers, hypervisors, virtualization, automation, and CI/CD enablement.
This will be the first time this lab is being built, starting with a 20–25 rack deployment, followed by proof‑of‑concept expansions and eventual scale. You will play a key role in defining standards, tooling, and repeatable processes from day one.
Requirements/Responsibilities:
-Bring up and maintain the software side of an on‑prem lab environment
-Support bare‑metal hypervisor deployments, with each hypervisor hosting ~5–6 VM or container workloads
-Image and maintain golden Ubuntu images for consistent, repeatable server builds
-Help define server specifications (CPU, RAM, storage) for new hardware purchases
-Partner with Facilities and Infrastructure teams to coordinate physical lab build‑out and rack deployments
-Support Jenkins‑based CI/CD pipelines
-Work with Docker and Kubernetes workloads running on the lab infrastructure
-Integrate with GCP services where applicable
-Manage and support JFrog / Artifactory for artifact storage and dependency management
