Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a fully remote Clinical Registry Data Abstractor to support a Healthcare AI client. This is a part-time opportunity working approximately 10–20 hours/week where candidates will apply their clinical registry expertise to review, abstract, and validate patient data while partnering closely with AI product teams. This role is highly detail-oriented and analytical, requiring a strong understanding of registry guidelines, clinical documentation, and abstraction workflows. Laptop and equipment will be provided.

Shift Times: Flexible scheduling within Monday-Friday, 9am-8pm PST (can't work weekends)
(must be available 10-20 hours/week from 9am-8pm PST // ideal for individuals seeking additional income)
Duration: 3-month contract (potential to extend)

Responsibilities:
• Abstract clinical cases for one or more registries such as Stroke, Chest Pain–MI, CathPCI, TVT, LAAO, and others
• Review patient charts within the EHR to identify required data elements based on current registry specifications
• Evaluate and validate AI-generated abstraction recommendations and input finalized data into the abstraction workflow
• Accurately document data sources and ensure compliance with registry standards and guidelines
• Provide clear explanations of abstraction decisions and clinical reasoning to internal product teams to enhance AI performance
• Identify inconsistencies or gaps between AI recommendations and registry best practices
• Partner with GTM and product teams to provide subject matter expertise and critique clinical presentations

Required Skills & Experience

• Active certification relevant to assigned registries (CPHQ, RHIA, RHIT, or registry-specific certification/training such as NCDR CathPCI/TVT or AHA Stroke)
• 3+ years of hands-on clinical data abstraction experience
• Experience working with clinical registries and interpreting registry data definitions/specifications
• Familiarity with EHR systems and clinical documentation workflows
• Strong attention to detail and ability to explain abstraction logic and decision-making

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience working across multiple registries
• Previous exposure to AI-assisted workflows or healthcare technology products
• Background in quality improvement, data analysis, or clinical informatics
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, tech-enabled healthcare environment
