Job Description

A client of Insight Global is currently seeking a skilled engineering professional to join their team and support our Component Repair Cells in optimizing processes and enhancing operational efficiency. In this role, you would be the sole Engineer after training.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support to the Repair Cells in daily operations by developing production repairs, issuing approved
deviations, and furnishing necessary technical instructions.
• Initiate, coordinate, and industrialize repairs approved by engine Original Equipment Manufacturers
(OEMs).
• Update and implement process improvement and cost-reduction programs.
• Optimize processes, manage variables, and ensure the effective application of Lean improvements.
• Collaborate in the evaluation and selection of new equipment and processes to enhance operational
capabilities.
• Develop tooling and methodologies for efficient and adaptable repair processes.
• Serve as a technical liaison with engine manufacturers and external vendors concerning repair issues.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance in shop floor environment.

Required Skills & Experience

- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Aeronautical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 8-12 years of experience in Engineering.
- Experience with multiple parts of the engineering world, no specialized in one sector.
- A minimum of four years of relevant experience addressing technical aspects of maintenance and repairs.
- Demonstrated capability in supporting investigations and preparing technical reports with actionable recommendations.
- Must have tooling design and repair experience.
- Comfortable working on the shop floor.
- Comfortable being the sole engineer.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Aviation engineering experience.
- Experience working within an MRO.
