Evergreen, Insight Global's Manage Service Division, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Writer to support our local utility partner to support with a Process Improvement effort for their GIS & Engineering Technology Solutions team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating, managing, and improving technical documentation related to our GIS consultation and process development services. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and clarity of all content.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process Consultation:
o Provide GIS consultation in process development to ensure efficient and high-quality work management.
o Project manage process improvement initiatives, including scheduling, impact assessment, and education planning.
2. Content Collection:
o Review existing materials to evaluate content availability and structure.
o Develop and maintain a Content Inventory Tracker and Content Question Log.
3. Stakeholder Engagement:
o Conduct multiple stakeholder meetings to evaluate content completeness and accuracy.
o Establish content requirements, including sections, layout, languages, and visuals.
o Discuss and reconcile content gaps with stakeholders.
4. Layout and Configuration:
o Build content frameworks and wireframes to ensure stakeholder alignment.
o Design section layouts, reserve visual spaces, and determine official sizing and length.
o Obtain sign-off for layout and content expectations from stakeholders.
5. Content Development:
o Create first drafts of all expected content.
o Engage with stakeholders to align on the first draft of deliverables and take notes on necessary changes.
6. Iterate and Improve:
o Leverage stakeholder feedback and internal project management review notes to iterate content to its final state.
o Map out current processes, write procedures, and develop job aids.
7. Process Improvement:
o Focus on executive process improvement efforts, addressing non-existent or incomplete processes.
o Develop strategies and job aids for managing, accessing, automating, integrating, and changing the system.
o Establish baseline strategies, align with PG&E standards, and document procedures for job aids.

Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with GIS and process improvement methodologies.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with content management systems and documentation tools.
Knowledge of wireframing and layout design.
Understanding of PG&E standards and procedures.
Will be in person at least 1 day per week at the Oakland, Ca office
