Job Description

Evergreen, Insight Global’s Manage Service Division partners with a large local utility company and we are seeking skilled Substation Design Engineers and your responsibilities would include but aren’t limited to:
• Prepare and review design drawings and schematics for electric substation systems.
• Coordinate with mapping, estimating, and field teams to ensure design accuracy.
• Support project planning and provide technical input during construction phases.
• Maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or related field) is typically required.
o Alternate qualifications may include a two-year technical degree combined with relevant experience or certifications (e.g., AutoCAD).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Ability to interpret and apply engineering standards and specifications.
• Knowledge of utility systems, including gas and electric distribution design.
• Familiarity with construction practices, material specifications, and safety standards

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Professional certifications such as Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) license are preferred for advancement.
