Job Description

Our company is launching an IT modernization project focused on back-office systems, operational processes, and platform integration. We are seeking a Salesforce Solution Architect to lead a targeted evaluation of our Salesforce environment and its connections to other enterprise systems critical to our legal research and e-commerce business.
This is a contract role designed for an experienced architect who can engage immediately, communicate effectively with business and technical teams, and deliver actionable architecture and integration plans across platforms.

Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate the current Salesforce environment, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Salesforce Identity
• Review existing architecture and design optimized, scalable solutions aligned to business goals
• Lead the assessment of Salesforce’s integration with:
o Jitterbit (iPaaS platform)
o Salesloft (sales engagement)
o Marketo (marketing automation)
o Staxbill (subscription billing)
o NetSuite (financials and order management)
• Identify pain points and recommend integration strategies, data mappings, and governance frameworks
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and technical teams to gather requirements and present findings
• Provide clear documentation including architecture diagrams, interface flows, and improvement roadmaps
• Address specific e-commerce challenges related to selling legal research to law firms and government organizations
• Contribute to system readiness for future enhancements, including self-service portals and entitlement-based access

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of Salesforce experience, with 3+ years in a Solution Architect role
• Deep expertise in:
o Sales Cloud
o Service Cloud
o Salesforce Identity (SSO, user access, and entitlement models)
• Strong knowledge of Jitterbit and hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with other enterprise platforms
• Experience working with or supporting e-commerce platforms selling digital and physical legal products
• Understanding of sales and service processes specific to legal and public sector markets
• Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Application Architect, Integration Architecture Designer)
• Familiarity with entitlement management and customer identity models for product access
• Experience with regulated data environments and compliance-aware systems
• Knowledge of NetSuite’s customer, item, and order objects in a subscription commerce context
