REMOTE Healthcare Claims Developer

Insight Global is looking for a developer to support one of our healthcare clients by building and maintaining internal applications used for claims and encounter submissions. In this role, you’ll spend most of your time hands‑on developing—writing and optimizing Oracle SQL queries, building Python services, and working directly with X12 837 healthcare transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance.

You’ll support end‑to‑end development efforts, from analysis and coding through testing and deployment, while collaborating closely with engineers, analysts, and healthcare SMEs. Part of your day will include troubleshooting production issues, supporting operational needs related to claims processing, and participating in team meetings and technical design discussions. This role requires adaptability as priorities and healthcare requirements evolve, with approximately 75–85% of time focused on development and the remainder on collaboration and support.

• Oracle SQL: 4+ years of hands-on experience writing complex queries and working with large datasets
• Python: 2+ years of hands-on development experience writing production-level code
• Healthcare Domain Experience: Prior U.S. healthcare claims experience- Familiarity with X12 837 transactions
• Power BI or similar reporting/visualization tools
• Most recent project(s) must be within the claims and encounters domain

• PowerShell or other shell scripting experience
• Knowledge of additional X12 transaction sets (e.g., 999, 277CA, 835, 834, 270/271)
• Experience supporting healthcare systems in a production environment
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies
