Job Description

Insight Globals Managed Service Division, Evergreen is looking for a Project Manager to sit in Sac/Bay Area California. You will be supporting one of the largest Utility companies Infrastructure groups. This is a long-term project replacing legacy infrastructure for microwave and fiber optic systems.

Responsibilities include:
1. Design Coordination
- Coordinate the Engineering of Construction Packages (one for install and one for migrations) for the project.
- Conduct or coordinate any walk-downs of the site(s) that may be necessary to create and complete the Construction Package(s) for the Project
- Communicate with other lines of business (e.g., Substation, Land, Environmental, etc.) and coordinate work prioritization among those groups
- Coordinate design approvals, battery studies, and rack/power installations with Substation Engineering and M&C teams
- Conduct and/or coordinate the Construction Package Handoff with engineer to release to the Construction Group
2. Build Coordination
- Coordinate installation and migration based on the Construction Package design
- Coordinate with any sub-contracted vendors to complete Contractor Safety documentation and develop schedules
- Coordinate clearance requests and approvals for device and circuit migrations
- Coordinate and track the migration of circuits, confirm record updates on the TCD/TNP with Telecom Engineers, and track the decommissioning of new equipment with T300 resources
- Gather and submit As-Built Drawings & Specifications
- Conduct and/or attend completion walk down of Project to release to the IT Maintenance Group
3. Administrative Activities
- Provide updates to Planisware Project and Portfolio Management tool (PLW). This will include creating, managing, and tracking of Project Status Reports (PSR), Project Change Requests (PCR), Issue/Risk logs, Staffing profiles, Job Estimate routing, Phase Gate Reviews, etc.
- Financial forecasting weekly within PRJ/BPC tool
- Conduct or attend team meetings, produce meeting notes, keep action log register, coordinate design details, send to assigned lead
- Coordinate OCIO compliance deliverables required for project (up to 12 deliverables)

Required Skills & Experience

-Fiber deployment and/or fiber engineering/construction background
-5+ yrs as a project manager overseeing Telecom and/or communications infrastructure projects (construction and deployment)
-Strong documentation skills
-Expertise with MS Suite ( SAP is helpful)
-Fiber Deployment/ Fiber engineering experience a plus
-Expert project management skills
