Job Description

Evergreen, Insight Global's Managed Service Division, is partnering with one of the largest utilities as they expand their data and analytics product team to support several analytics products in their queue. As the Product Manager, your goal is to support the product strategy and product development of 1-2 products at a time these would be analytics product to support asset health, asset failure, work management optimization, etc. These products could be ESRI/GIS or Foundry based, or LiDAR related analytics. You will support several cross functional groups including IGP team, product developers, and IT enablement teams.
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
User Requirements and Product Definition
Gather, document and summarize stakeholder needs and requirements
Schedule stakeholder working sessions including executive and working steering committees
Gather in flight documentation on articulation of business problems and business value
Engage product stakeholders to define business problem and product goals
Translate data product goals into a set of requirements and features
Socialize prioritization with stakeholders
Data Discovery and Documentation
Gather current data inventory and process mapping documentation
Establish baseline processes and data flows to collect, consolidate, curate, and transform data
Document current understanding of data sources, technology systems of record, and potential data collection issues
Technology Enablement
Align on enabling technologies needed to develop and implement the product (e.g. Foundry, GIS, Power BI)
Data Management
Conduct working sessions with Business and IT SMEs for data schema mapping, noting areas of alignment and/or misalignment
Document data requirements and source systems as needed
Document PG&E-identified potential data quality issues and potential resolution paths
Document impact to solution architecture as needed
Document updated data flows
Process Management
Update process documentation and track open issues
Summarize potential to-be processes that impact data flow
Summarize potential roadblocks (e.g., DQ concerns, manual process issues) as well as enablers (e.g., attribute update, process update) with data flow process
Develop operationalization / path to production plans
Outline management of change needs for intended product
Team & Stakeholder Engagement
Conduct follow-on sessions as needed to close action items and/or work through additional topics
Facilitate scrum sessions to help address issues and/or escalations
Support development and IT teams as needed to ensure successful delivery of product on time
Product Roadmap
Summarize additional feature development for next planning cycle
Summarize feature prioritization (if updated) based on Business and IT SME, as well as executive leadership input
Document implications for data flow / collection process as well as solution architecture / roadmap
Planning & Governance
Continuously evolve product features in accordance with Business and IT needs
Develop and continuously evolve roles/responsibilities with Business and IT leads

Program/Product Support
Develop project workplan in coordination with Project Sponsor and identified product stakeholders
Support daily standups, scrums, or operating reviews as appropriate
Collaborate with workstream leads to compile weekly & monthly operating reviews
Support cross-functional collaboration as needed to mitigate project risks, manage cross-team dependencies, etc.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of technology product/project management experience
Experience maturing product or project developments throughout different phases of project lifecycle
Process improvement identification and implementation
Experience with facilitation of cross-functional workshops
Project or Product Management related credentials/certificates
Experience using product or agile toolsets including JIRA
Familiarity with source system & data architecture
Data analytics background with advanced Excel skills
Experience with SAP/data warehouses, GIS, other (project or data management)
Experience anticipating unforseen consequences associated with data management
Understanding and adherence to information security principles
Experience contributing to workstreams requiring high level of detail orientation (e.g. mapping PG&E source systems to regulator prescribed data reporting framework)
Experience drafting process documentation

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

past utility/energy/PG&E experience
Experience with Foundry, ESRI/GIS products, or LiDAR data
